(1,820 posts)Wow. Pretty tame tweets in my book. Totally support Al Franken. Sent him money and I am not in his state.
Let me say this he and every Hillary supporter are entitled to vote for anyone they like. I am cool with that...totally. However you might get some push back. Heck us Sanders supporters get lots of push back!
I still support Franklin and will continue to contributed to him and other solid Dems. However this was a bit of hyperbole but super funny. Thank you Al for the morning giggle.
GO BERNIE!!!!

(39,215 posts)convention and he talked about backing Hillary in front of a crowd who had voted for Bernie. He is not a bad congressman but I think he is a bit star struck. The last part of his speech dealt with Bernie's approach to Climate Change and he praised Bernie for this. But not one word about TPP and trade deals.

(1,820 posts)I saw the humour in this video and the sarcasm at the horrible tweets. He was playing the role he was assigned and he probably does believe Hillary has a better chance of winning. My best friend feels the same. He loves Bernie just thinks Hillary has name recognition and is not a risk taker. He dislikes many things about her as well.
This is America. Voting is our right and our privilege. Just vote my friends! Use your heart and your mind and vote. It will all work out. It always does!!

(22,794 posts)I don't get why Sanders fans can't believe any reasonable person, and Franken qualifies for that in spades, could vote for Clinton. May I ask who "assigned" Franken that "role?" Some sort of Evil Corporatist Demon? Franken is his own man and is not swayed by fame or fortune.

(39,215 posts)I worked for him the last election.
We MN voters have a hard choice. Our elected officials are doing a fantastic job for our state. But they now want us to vote for what we do not want - Hillary.
I think that those officials who are SDs also have a hard choice. Are they going to stand with the establishment or are they going to do what the MN people voted for. One of them - Rick Nolan - has come out for Bernie. He spoke at the convention also. I strongly support him.

(57,936 posts)Why are Hillary supporters so opposed to allowing us in Oregon and California to vote for Bernie?
Why the pressure on Bernie to drop out before we get to cast our ballots?
If you don't like the meanness, stop participating in it, please.
