Competing hotels in San Francisco are coming together in a effort to increase the bee population by setting up hives on their rooftops, creating a bee highway in the sky. (May 13)

4. It's been a sad year thus far for pollination

Don't know how much the late Spring showers have contributed to bees and butterflies not showing up, but I finally saw my first two yesterday. Where are all the bees this year??? Lots of flowers with sweet nectar, but no insects around to sop it up.
