I watched this video and gasped. Hillary might want to do some reform but will not put the passion and energy like Bernie would. This is why I support Bernie. Bernie will protect us against nasty GOP who want cut food stamps as reported by CBS News.
Hillary might just let the GOP get away with it while Bernie it is DOA.

(12,882 posts)We can have this guy - who'll likely keep that fodder home. -OR, we can have his opponent who'll not have to worry about her kid or grandkids going off to fight the conflicts she'd likely instigate. What was the toll in Iraq? FIVE THOUSAND or so? Heck, our citizenry can crank out that many kids in a month! And then when they hit 18 and can't find meaningful employment - they'll be ripe for recruitment.

Got anything of substance?
Did Hillary vote for or against the war in Iraq, push for ousting Assad and Qaddafi?
Yes or no?
I am a peace monger who have seen war. When have Hilary *Canton seen a war she didn't like?
My litmus test is Pete Seeger: Which side are you on?
The strikers and grunts who live on food stamps and fights the dirty wars that your tax dollars are being spent on or the people who wines and dines your alleged nominee? Why are there more than 220 000 homeless veterans in a country that affords itself wars abroad and a bloated military budget?
A war monger is a war monger. No matter what flag one claims to sail under. And while 'Hillary is busy wooing Republicans, discarding Bernie supporters, there seems to be a purge of voices not in the bag with corrupt CORPdems.

There are TWO candidates still in the race. Only one of them proudly said "we came, we saw, he died" without consideration of the consequences. The other one is not helping Saudi Arabia getting arms deals with American arms manufacturers.,

(57,936 posts)Please discuss. Name one.
It's not helpful to just deny an accusation without providing facts. What war did Hillary oppose? Did she oppose the war in Nicaragua or in Viet Nam or Cambodia? Any other war?
Because if she didn't then the accusation is not just a hateful attack.
And if she did, it is best to defend with facts, not with an accusation at the person posting.
What war or wars did she oppose?
Surely there is at least one. Because if there wasn't, then why such a reply?

(20,453 posts)This doesn't look like any plan for reform was ever considered, nor what affects American security. It was the "hardest decision" she cast with conviction.
With thoughtful persuasions based like this, there is no question as to why I would only support Bernie Sanders.

(15,435 posts)has THE MOST & BEST Foreign Policy knowledge and is MUCH MORE capable when it comes to negotiating with other countries! Countries who NOW have so little trust or respect for what we've done!
AMAZING! Yet, STILL so many here are UNWILLING to understand the reality of what could/would happen if SHE becomes POTUS!
Even MORE amazing and MORE disgusting is what OUR VERY OWN Democratic Party has done to this man! A very LARGE portion of these same members have known Bernie Sanders for a very long time, and many have told us over and over what a HUGE mistake it was to invade Iraq and are NOW telling this country that Bernie Sanders has no foreign policy CRED! He predicted exactly what would happen and IT HAS! We've become a nation that invades other countries JUST BECAUSE WE CAN! Damn the consequences!
It's mind blowing that the American people simply CAN'T OR WON'T LEARN from so many mistakes that our illustrious leaders have made in our name!!!!
I can only keep doing this ----

(20,453 posts)What the general population of Democrats should be starting to wonder is - HOW in the world did jumping to the tune of corporate controlling interests EVER determine one's desire to run for office?
I never could understand it on a local level, yet there I was, getting an eye and ear full of how power absolutely ruins public servants (assuming that was their original desire, "to serve"

There have been too many times that I have thoughts of The Fall Of The Roman Empire! It's been said that Great Empires have a life span of about 200 years and I can't help but wonder how close we're coming to collapse.
Yeah, that's a real downer! We MUST WAKE UP and I can see storm clouds everywhere... there is a REVOLUTION that's been brewing for a very long time. The unrest was building and burst on scene with OCCUPY and they ignored the warning signs. When you build a house you have to have a foundation before you can go forward. Our foundation has now begun to fracture and crumble and I worry about how much time before it falls in.
I know this sounds so "chicken little" but too many people are talking like this and it seems TPTB still won't listen. About 3 or 4 months ago I posted a few words that just said... I fear something very bad is going to happen. I have no specifics, but I haven't been able to stop feeling this way.

(20,453 posts)Hang on.... We will come out of the other side of this sooner than everyone thinks.
That feeling you have may actually be a good indicator of how ready we are to say, "enough". We will need to be persistent with demanding no more of this nonsense. We need to recognize what is more important, which is all of us, and to no longer prop up more of the same.
Give your babies a hug for me!

(15,435 posts)too many times I find myself thinking some awful thoughts. Most of it stems from what's happened in the past and remembering the old adage about "doing the same things over and over and expecting a different outcome." The people of this country really need to take a long hard look at what's gone wrong here and having to read posts by people who I feel simply WON'T even dare to consider that Hillary has been an integral part of the WHOLE MESS!
It seems like we've been part of "the shell game" where I think MOST people know deep down that it's basically a scam, but they still can't keep themselves from being fooled. Then of course there's there there monkey's who "hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil" which is only a way of ignoring a certain reality!
OK, enough of the analogies... but there are many more. Oh my, I seem to have forgotten where my button is that turns off my brain from too much deep thinking! LOL!

(15,435 posts)Pun intended. I've known people from other countries and they've always amazed because all of them learn to speak English, plus other languages too. It's something that we Americans don't do very much, but I have to give them a lot of respect. Here in this country we have so many different slangs depending where you live. Coke, pop, soda, etc. And yeah, chocolate labs is a great example.
I have a book called "The Revenge of Anguished English" and it has some of the funniest examples of this type of thing. It was given to me by a friend and when I read the title I thought it was going to be about grammar and punctuation or other things. Turns out it's really funny and gives so many examples of thing like "chocolate labs" and many other words and phrases.
Put a smile on my face.

(12,864 posts)The plain fact of the matter is that Bernie Sanders showed far superior judgment in the most critically important and consequential foreign policy matter they voted on.
Did Hillary think GW would act in good faith once given the authority to invade Iraq? If so, she's a lot dumber than she looks. The PNAC agenda was known. A vote for the IWR was a vote for war, period.
Was Hillary on board with the neocon agenda? If so, then she's a hawk who can't be trusted as commander in chief.
Was her yes vote based on a political calculation that being a hawk in the post-9/11 environment would be better for her personal ambitions, regardless of whether the case for war was bogus and the consequences potentially catastrophic? If so, her political career deserves to be over.
In Democratic primaries since October 2002 I have not supported any candidate who voted for the Iraq war. They lost my vote, and deservedly so.

(12,864 posts)... you can't address the substance of the issue at hand so you react with semi-incoherent deflections.
I've been making these same arguments since Hillary first declared her candidacy. The actual record in crucially important matters of war and peace are directly relevant to fitness for the presidency.
