(82 posts)Our corporate media are 'sock-puppets' to power in Washington. The timing is questionable has been only unveiled since he has announced he is running for the Senate in Florida. Grayson countered Reid with hard 'fact-based' counter arguments. Joy-Ann Reid did a horrible job of trying to frame it. Just more establishment vs anti-establishment drama.

(959 posts)him and recommended the video of his famous healthcare presentation - "Republicans want you to die." Not so slimy there, unless you're a republican, that is. Can you elaborate on how he's "always been as slimy and self-congratulatory as Trump?" A few examples would be legit.

(14,255 posts)After that, I will register as unaffiliated, for the first time in my long life.
And, if Murphy ends up on the ballot anyway, in November, I will not vote for any more DINOs. Our other Senator, Bill Nelson, is a DINO. Gee, why not have the real thing instead of being stabbed in the back by a DINO? They vote with the GOP anyway.

(9,298 posts)reminds me of Obama giving Henry Kissinger the highest award the White House can give. An effort to counter attack all the videos showing the coziness between Kissinger and Clinton. Alan Grayson is on record as supporting Bernie, so he's gotta go. He's savvy enough to keep his nose clean as a Congressional representative. Boy, am I glad I cancelled Direct TV!

(24,396 posts)to avoid answering questions.
His basic position was "You're lying, Joy, and so are all my accusers."
The next level was to answer questions with very specific dodges. Ex: Grayson said that his case was the first time in history that no sub-committee was formed to decide whether to return a recoomendation to the House Ethics Committee to bring a motion of censure, etc. That begs the question: is it normal procedure to form a sub-committee in such matters? I don't know the answer, and I imagine Joy didn't know either. But it was an effective diversionary tactic on the part of Grayson to offer a pseudo-answer to a specific question.
And so went the entire interview.

(2,096 posts)This confirmed for me that this is a political smear. I'd read another piece that claimed that but I hadn't fully made up my mind because I wanted to hear from Grayson. After watching this video it's pretty clear that this "story" is being pushed for political purposes. I don't mind a journalist being aggressive with someone they are interviewing. In fact, I prefer it. But it's pretty clear that this wasn't an interview but a deliberate hit. I can now feel comfortable donating to Grayson's campaign.
