Many Things Making Other Countries Great Were An American Idea, specifically public education, customs like workers May Day (from Chicago) and more. Europe has implemented better policies for healthcare, worker benefits, child and elder care, prison programs. Topics included the Flint water crisis and how they plan to work together to bring down Donald Trump. They also spoke about Moores new movie, Where to Invade Next. Moore traveled to other countries to understand why prison recidivism and drug addiction, among other things, were so low. What he was told repeatedly was that the strategies implemented by the countries came from American Ideas. They also derived from the Enlightenment, modern sciences, human rights and worker social movements. His conclusion, then, is that for America to be great, it needs to start taking its own advice.

(41,131 posts)He's offering a DVD copy for a donation through Move On as said.
I suspect Michael thinks its about doing "more pushups" but in fact it's the carbs wheat and sugar that some are too sensitive to. Carbs spike insulin a FAT storage hormone. So eat more fat and lower insulin. Atkins; paleo; primal. Don't fear fat and cut out all carbs except veggies.

(20,453 posts)I think it IS his best movie. It's done the only way he's ever been able to be most credible. He's actually letting the evidence play out with real people on film.
Michael... continue to walk. Commit to this, plus, eat the kind of stuff you saw those French elementary students had on their plates. I could have bashed you for getting that little French girl to try Coca Cola, you meanie!!!

(8,175 posts)and saying it was safe. It was "filtered" water and that is the only reason it was safe and Obama admitted the pipes needed to be fixed.
You can't expect people (especially low income people) to have to filter all their drinking water.
I use a filter on my spring water, because my tank builds up with algae and who knows what, and it has hard minerals in it. And my house has only a couple of pipes in it, but they are very old (pre 60's) and they probably have lead in them. So any water I drink or cook with is filtered. But it's not easy to have to filter your water...it's a process I have to deal with every other day (I have a three gallon water dispenser, and I use a Brita filter/pitcher to keep it filled). And it's not cheap to have to buy the filters all the time. So, no, filtering is not a permanent answer, but it does answer the immediate problem, and it should be offered free to all inhabitants of the city who use those pipe lines, until they are replaced. I plan on redoing my existing plumbing when I can...and maybe even some day getting a well in, but I'll still want a filtering system for the hard minerals.
Michael is brilliant and he's fighting a just cause, and I love him, but he does tend to hyperbole at times.
