The hardest decision he has to make in the morning involves which car he gets from the elevator.
Even his popular decisions are unpopular.
He once called the cops at a party - not because the punch was spiked - but because the party was too loud.
His exclusive club is The Club.
He is Mitt Romney - the LEAST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD!!!!
He doesn't always drink beer - oh wait - he doesn't drink beer.
Stay boring my friends.

(27,396 posts)BUT I have a theory on the whole Mitwit nomination. It's pretty hard to win against an incumbent president but the Republicans had to nominate someone and it was Mitwit's turn. So he's become the sacrificial lamb for this election.
But... and here's where my theory comes into play. Given all the money that the Repugs are putting into this race I'm wondering if they are testing the waters as to how far they can go with dumping huge piles of money into an election. I think they want to see if outspending the Democrats really will make a difference.
If Rmoney wins, as unpopular as he is, then the GOP will be emboldened to continue to dump huge sums of money into elections. 100 million dollars is nothing to Adelson or to the Koch brothers. If they can buy this election with such an unpopular candidate then they can buy anything, no matter how unpopular or reactionary it may be. The floodgates will open even wider to GOP backed candidates and we will be screwed for decades, maybe forever.
Scalia was right in one sense; if you don't like the ads, turn off the TV. But people don't. They believe campaign ads. They make their voting decisions based on ads assuming they are true. People are gullible and lazy and politics is complicated.
One thin to note is that Meg Whitman dumped millions of dollars into her race for Governor of CA. She had a cast of thousands working for her. Jerry Brown had very little money and very little staff. He won. So sometimes whoever has the most money doesn't win.

(32,723 posts)Think about it. A Party is a lot more than the candidates. There's all the consultants and office staff and lawyers and advisers and drivers and image managers and hair and makeup and then there the managers at the top who get CEO levels of pay with their OWN secretaries and office staff and assistants and lawyers and media consultants and,....well, you get the picture....it's big business.....BLOATED big business with thousands of non-volunteer types getting tens of thousands to millions.
And because there's so much money this time, it's being skimmed as well.
Now comes the REAL comedy to all of this. You watch, they'll run on their greatness in handling the economy and claim the whole campaign ends in massive debt.
Then they'll beg their stupid followers to help them out. For the sake of charity and loyalty to the party.
Then they'll start the whole thing over again in a few months for the upcoming mid-terms....

(32,723 posts)He's trying to come off as better than Cheney but deep down the two believe the government is their personal piggy bank and he doesn't CARE about "the little people".
As summed up by Cheney and his, "So?"

But then, he acted like he was appointed, not elected.

(1,474 posts)What act of nature prevents elected democrats from following the rule of law, and not tolerate election theft?
My guess is that, people who live in glass house shouldn't stones.
Another guess is that, if elected democrats are not part of the solution, they are part of the problem.
Maybe they have to many skeletons in their own closet, and if they started fighting political corruption, they would be cutting their own throat.

(10,893 posts)**'s "combined negativity" number is only 7% higher than Obama's? Why is the gap between them not larger than that?
