Related: About this forumHillary Clinton May Be The Most Hypocritical Candidate In Politics Today
Hillary Clinton is calling for Donald Trump to release his tax returns and he should. But she completely misses the irony and hypocrisy of calling on Trump to release information when she still hasnt released the transcripts of her Wall Street speeches. Ring of Fires Farron Cousins discusses this.

(2,495 posts)it has been standard practice for presidential candidates to release their tax returns since 1976.
Have presidential candidates released transcripts of all their paid speeches (while they were in the private sector)? Should we ask her to release all the work she has done as a private individual? Legal cases she ever handled and what she was told?
Didn't Goldman Sachs pay her to do a speech? isn't that what the employee-employer relationship is about?

(45,251 posts)You should at least wonder why.
If someone runs for office, it's fair to ask them to make disclosures. If they refuse, they have to expect people to wonder why they are refusing.
No one said they were equivalent to tax returns and that's not the point.
Paying someone to give a speech doesn't create an employer employee relationship, but I don't know what difference it makes anyway.
You got that one right...

(45,251 posts)Tax returns and transcripts are not equivalent *which no one claimed anyway). Therefore Hillary should not have to produce tax returns--and no one should draw any of the very obvious conclusions from that.

(3,919 posts)honest. she must be willing to do the same. honesty is honesty.

(45,251 posts)chopping down the cherry tree--which he probably didn't do either.
I'm getting quite tired, as a Sanders supporter, of defending Clinton from baseless attacks.
Point 1. I WANT to see those transcripts
Point 2. Hillary has released her taxes, as has candidates for president for decades.
Point 3. Speech transcripts and taxes are NOT the same thing, and show no hypocrisy.
You are posting Trump talking points here. Period.
Attack Clinton on issues. Stuff that matter. No emails, Benghazi, pantsuit bullshit.
Thank You

(45,251 posts)You know, even if I did not have this avatar, I would never preface any defense of Clinton with "I am a Sanders supporter."
For the love of heaven, you have not seen a single post here about pantsuits or Benghazi. However, the emails are not in the same category as Benghazi. For just one thing, the FBI is not investigating Hillary for Benghazi.

I have been here since almost the beginning! You for almost one election cycle.
I log in almost every day
I do not post often, sue me.
I am just sick of the constant bickering on this site, over who is the bigger liberal, or who should carry the flag.
Hint - Not Trump. That's who.
I see Clinton as a right of center Democrat
I see Trump as a danger to this nation.
One of the above we can survive. One we will not.

(45,251 posts)I posted info that is public on this board without making any comment about it. People can draw whatever conclusions they care to.

(730 posts)Why challenge my post with a cut/paste of my membership if you are not calling into question if I "belong" here?
I have been a member for 15 years.
But have only posted under 750 times.
Therefore, I am less important than you.
I have donated money to DU. Finances currently prevent me from now. And have a stack of DU bumperstickers to prove it.
But questioning my message by counting my posts is a cheap act. So I call that out.

(45,251 posts)By all means call out whatever you want, though I am not sure why you think you have to. What I posted is right there for all to see. Not like I pm'd it to someone.

(730 posts)It's quite obvious what you meant by posting what you did.
And your "gosh, I just cannot figure out what you are saying" act is clear as well.
You, and your ilk, are the reason I do not post often. Instead of posting a debate, you toss a veiled attack at me. Then deny it.
I have to put up with this passive aggressive bullshit at work every day. I'm just done dealing with it here.

(23,664 posts)...because there were no speeches. The "speeches" were a thinly disguised way for Wall Street bankers and other fat cats to give money to the Clintons and evade campaign funding laws.
