Related: About this forumJ.K. Rowling, former teacher, defends Trump's free speech rights
If you seek the removal of freedoms from an opponent simply on the grounds that they have offended you, you have crossed a line to stand along tyrants who imprison, torture and kill on exactly the same justification.

(19,089 posts)1. The wrong question
The question isn't 'should Trump be denied the right to speak?' ..
The question is : 'Does what Trump actually say represent what sane people think?'
Yeah ... Trump can talk all he wants ... It's the content of his speech that are objectionable ...
Different question

I happen to agree with Rowling that he should not be banned only because he says offensive things. Free speech is the most critical of all rights. Once it is taken away, we have no freedoms left.

UK can do as they please. They don't have a first amendment. They don't provide laws to America either.

I'm just allowed to hate him for the things he says.
