(14,164 posts)She'll probably be the nominee. The Democrats will be saddled with her, along with her baggage.
That kind of hubris will only encourage the "she's got it in the bag" attitude. It exacerbates the problem of getting the D vote out. In case you haven't noticed, Trump is neck and neck with her now. And the MSM have months to bring her numbers down even more. They will probably look on it as a challenge.

The head of the FBI is a "Republican" Obama appointee, he's not going to care about the Dem establishment's chosen candidate.
Hillary's is going to have to explain "why" she chose to ignore protocol and use a private server over a secure government e-mail..
Is she claims convenience is the only reason and they have proof otherwise, lying to the FBI is a crime in itself....

In fact it CLEARLY illustrates that she's lied on multiple occasions and didn't keep her obligations to the state department... again, what's new there?
No one but Clintonites think this is good for Hillary... and there's even plenty of Clintonites that have copped on to what's happened...

(8,203 posts)Here's why - Everything you have EVER thought was good for our Country....
Give peace a chance....you want WAR - vote trump - you want hate - vote trump - you want constant chaos - vote trump you want bigotry - vote trump - you want voter suppression - vote trump - you want women viewed as second class citizens - vote trump -
Every GWB foreign policy cheneyesk nutcase will rise again - the rhetoric right now is just getting warmed up - you ain't seen nuthin' yet!
This email (so called scandal) is a pie in the sky attempt - after 30 years (of these so called scandals) to discredit a Democratic candidate - too much money on the table for WAR to turn away - that is the name of the game...WAR! I thought you were smarter than this......
floppyboo
(2,461 posts)and if you want to avoid a Trump presidency, you should seriously consider Bernie. Too risky will Hillary. And its only going to get worse. The 'so-called' scandal is not a scandal in the Harlequin sense. It is a very real problem. With very real legal implications. And even with no indictment (unlikely I think) the FBI and OIG reports are going to be kerosene for Trump.
Bernie went on a honeymoon to a communist country. Oh boy! Trump makes them rich - guess who's going to win that one?

for alleged Intel breeches.
The big difference is really that Snowden, Manning, Kiriakou, Drake, etc.
lack the personal CONNECTIONS of HRC, Petraeus, Libby, Armitage, etc.
There's your "rule of law."

(3,829 posts)What's the big deal about classified information anyways:
https://theintercept.com/2015/08/12/hillary-clinton-sanctity-protecting-classified-information/?comments=1#comments
If his case goes to trial and he is convicted, Manning could face life in prison. The government has said it would not seek the death penalty.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton called Mannings alleged actions damaging and unfortunate in remarks to reporters at the State Department on Thursday.
I think that in an age where so much information is flying through cyberspace, we all have to be aware of the fact that some information which is sensitive, which does affect the security of individuals and relationships, deserves to be protected and we will continue to take necessary steps to do so, Clinton said.
Snowden and Manning were exposing criminal and unconstitutional activity by the powerful. You can't allow them to expose any classified information under any situation, no excuses like mass murder can be allowed. Hillary supporters know that's not right and many of them demanded Snowden and Manning be prosecuted.

(3,829 posts)that were strongly for prosecuting Snowden and Manning when they exposed mass-murder and unconstitutional behavior by the powerful. Because, if you were, that would be highly hypocritical.
Snowden and Manning did their deeds to expose terrible crimes, Hillary did it for selfish reasons. Hillary also likely exposed far more sensitive secrets than Snowden or Manning ever did.
