Democracy Now! (May 26): Young scientist presents climate petition to Exxon shareholders' meeting
Anna Kalinsy, granddaughter of James Black, the scientist who first briefed Exxon executives on climate change in 1977, yesterday presented a petition at the corporation's shareholdeers' meeting urging Exxon to cut ties to ALEC abs ither groups spreading misinformation about climate issues.
Amy Goodman and Narmeen Sheikh interview Ms. Kalinsky and Bill McKibben, named by presidential candidate Bernie Sanders to the Democratic Party's platform committee, about the difficulties of advancing climate information.
