(24,788 posts)Bernie math only works if you use the pledged + super delegate number of 2383 and pretend that Hillary needs to hit that 2383 number with ONLY pledged delegates.
Hillary will have a commanding majority of pledged delegates over Sanders after Tuesday. Sanders is implying that Hillary will not have a majority of the pledged delegates when he conflates having a majority of pledged delegates with reaching the 2383 number which only exists if you include the super delegates.
In other words, he is demanding that she reach the 2383 number with only pledged delegates. That would mean that she would need to win 58% of pledged delegates. That would also mean that if Sanders won only 43% of the pledged delegates that the convention would be contested.
In what universe is a 57-43 win not a win?
Idiocy.
