The Banksters will be celebrating the coronation of Hillary as if it was the night they invented champagne.

Bernie and his supporters will be mocked and ridiculed. Austerity for the ruble.

Katrina lies about the media treating Bernie fairly at some point in the campaign however I for one never saw it. They treated him as either nonexistent or a joke.

So we are back to voting for the lesser of two evils and politics of the fake personas.

A strategy going forward may take several different paths. Should a third party be formed? Ironically, if the Democrats score a crushing win in November, then it may hasten a progressive exit from a party currently under a stranglehold by neoliberals. If the GOP is swept into the dustbin of history, then the Democratic Party leaders can't raise the fear of the Republican bogey man to hold us in line. It will only confirm what the neoliberals are trying to deny: that America is a center/left nation, not a center/right nation. A new progressive party founded on the principles of democratic socialism would not be a third party, but a new second party replacing the GOP as the main opposition to the Democratic Party, which would become the party of big business.

As for the election itself, a choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is hardly a harbinger of a bright future. If we were playing Dungeons and Dragons, Hillary's character would be aligned evil and Der Donald's chaotic evil. I suppose we can congratulate Camp Weathervane for succeeding in their goal of nominating a candidate who is better than Donald Trump. The rational thing to do would be to vote for Mrs. Clinton, who I expect will be the next president. At that point, just after the November election, will be the time for progressives to evaluate the political landscape and determine whether a continued alliance with the party of the Third Way is desirable or not.

We are the ones who must make that decision. Of course, we will need to go elsewhere to discuss it. See you at JPR.

I realize my days here at DU are limited as I will get banned for not supporting the anointed one.

What is JPR? What is the link?
