So sad the show is not to my liking. I used to like Sam on The Daily Show and thought she would rock it!

Something about this show really grates on me, and my friend can not be in the same room when she is on. I liked her a lot on TDS.

She should have been given a shot at the Daily Show before Trevor and he should have gotten the lower profile "prove-it-to-me" gig...in my opinion of course, which is worth pretty much nothing in this arena!

but Jon was kind of vague on when he would retire. By the time he decided on the timing, HBO had already offered Jon his own show, and Samantha and her husband were already negotiating two shows with TBS.

Trevor Noah is good friends with some of the veteran writers on the show and did standup with them. Although I've never seen his standup, they swear he's funny as hell IRL. I'm still waiting to see that side of him. Right now I'm still "meh".

I liked her on DS, but I personally am not seeing that she OR Noah are able to pull off an entire show. I love John Oliver's show though...I like the format better than the DS.
