(6,837 posts)Sheesh.
That story reads like a blog post from the basement-dwelling, amateur forensic examiners who declared Barack Obama's birth certificate to be "an obvious forgery."
It proves nothing at all. Really.

In which case her being the nominee or not would be a moot point.

(14,626 posts)That's a little hard to believe. The provisional ballots too?

(410 posts)That is just fine with the fake Democrats. We are living in a horribly corrupted country.

(6,837 posts)I am a Bernie supporter. But I don't have a problem with the AP reporting the facts -- and that is what they did.
The AP report was not based on projections or conjecture. The AP counted the delegates (pledged and "super"
Clinton had at that time. And they reported, accurately, that Clinton had enough to secure the nomination as of that time.
They also reported that their tally included superdelegates. Furthermore, their reporting explained that such delegates don't vote until the convention and that their totals were based on phone canvases of the superdelegates themselves. All of that was absolutely factual and was, btw, the same method they used to call the nomination for Obama in 2008.

(745 posts)I looks to me like they prepared a template in which they planned to drop in an AP tweet. That's hardly damning given that everyone knew that the AP would send a tweet like that whenever Clinton clinched the nomination.
The AP tweet came earlier than most people expected because, frankly, Hillary clinched the nomination sooner than most people expected.
And, once again... the AP did the exact same thing in 2008 when Obama went over the top with superdelegates.

(6,837 posts)... in that clip he sounds a bit to Alex Jones-ish for my taste.

(25,048 posts)He's a really smart man with an exceptional liberal history and I admire him.
With Senator Sanders' campaign, however, Cenk has gone overboard. Perhaps now that we're going into General Election mode, he'll come back down to earth.

(25,048 posts)My post didn't make any references to policy positions of any candidates. I was writing about Cenk Uygar's demeanor over the last couple of months. One reason i admire him is he wears his passions on his sleeves and never leaves a doubt about his opinions. He is excitable, though.

(745 posts)He has over and over and over explained his position and what he did and did not agree with Bernie Sanders on (and Hillary as well). You say Cenk has been going 'overboard' as if he is emotionally attached to Sanders without merit, reason, or logical thought. I would say that he has a damned good reason to get mad at a political system that is corrupt, unfair, and lets be honest.. not a Democracy (or otherwise it would adhere to the rule of law).
Cenk's position is clear, concise, and logical if you ask me... so I ask you, what do you agree with Hillary on, policy wise? Seems fair. If that's not the question to ask, perhaps, what is it that you disagree with Cenk on?
First, I didn't imply that Cenk's positions were without merit, reason or logical thought. In fact, I never indicated that I disagreed with him. It was appalling that the AP and other news outlets called the primary election for Secretary Clinton before the final rounds of voting. I'm old enough to remember when the TV networks would begin making their projections when the first polls closed on the east coast but people all over the rest of the country were still voting. That's a horrible way to run elections and even today, with very modest restraints in place, the media constantly give us polls handicapping the "horse race." You've misinterpreted my comments but it's clear that you're as angry with our corrupted system as I am.
Second, I was giving my impression of his hyper-emotionalism that is an integral part of his onscreen personality. I've felt that over the past several months, Cenk has really ratcheted-up his delivery to a higher level and it seemed that he really wanted to influence the primary elections. Good for him because that's how a free press is supposed to work in a democracy. As a TYT subscriber, I know that his audience is diminutive compared to the broadcast and cable networks. Coupled with the prime demographic of TYT's audience, it was unlikely to make a big dent in the primaries. Still, it's all good for him and he hasn't lost me as a viewer. But I do hope his blood pressure comes down because his passions have slid into rage on occasion. There's another battle to fight and Democrats need Cenk fighting with us.
In closing, my original comment had nothing to do with any specific issues nor candidates. Your questioning me about Secretary Clinton's policy views seems like you'd like to debate something I haven't raised so I'll pass.

(745 posts)But then why reply to a thread with Cenk disgracing the AP with:
Which, if you have been watching, it is pretty clear why he is NOT in line with the Democrats, or rather, why the Democrats have left a majority of their base behind.
