The Myth of Male Power - Warren Farrell - 7/19

&feature=context-gfa

Best-selling author and men's rights activist, Warren Farrell, gives an interview about his book, The Myth of Male Power.

A former director of the National Organisation for Women, Warren argues that society has been mislead by the feminist movement into perceiving women as victims of male oppression. He believes that the reverse is true; women have most of the rights and privileges whilst men are treated like 2nd-class citizens.

This is a very powerful interview that would change your whole perspective about male and female relationship. I usually would post a video like this in gender and orientation but this too important to be stashed away in the dark dungeon. So please Mods, let this one slide if only to balance the so many anti male posts that have gotten through to video and M and even general discussion (e.g the father abuse post that was posted on father's day).

Please watch it with an open mind and share with friends and family. It turns out that our fathers weren't monsters after all.

Edit
I have decided to post this on GD instead. So feel free to take this one down and leave the one on GD to stand.

because women pick jobs that require less responsibility so they can focus on the home.

What a crock.

CNN last night(Sunday) that came to the same conclusion. Just look at Elaine Kagan and Justice Sotomoyo both high achievers and I bet high earners. Children tend to get in the way of a successful career and women who forgo having children make just as much, if not more money than men with the same degree and experience.

It's a cop out to blame the victim.

There are men and women working side by side doing the same damn job and the men are making more. Sometimes MUCH more.

This guy is an idiot. He gets paid by RepubliCONS to put out the RepubliCON talking points on the war against women. He is just another tool of rich old men.

He sounds so much like Ann the Man Coulter that he will be urging women to give up their right to vote soon.

I love men. I love my father, brothers, sons and husband and I'm a proud feminist. Feminist don't hate men. It's just a talking point for Rush Limpballs and is not based in reality or fact. Warren Farrell himself belonged to NOW and he was a man (I guess he still is). So if feminist hate men sooooo much why do they allow men on their boards?

Women are so equal in American society that Wal-Mart gets sued every other day by women for being underpaid.

If men are so oppressed why are they always going on about what women do with their wombs? Women don't go on about what men do with their testes (except maybe teabaggers) .

If men are so abused then why do they make up well over the majority of all legislative, executive and judicial branches?

Why is it considered that 3 women out of 9 justices is equal? Women make up over 50 percent of our population, there should be 5 women on the Supremes.

Warren Farrell is just another sell out writer who wants to make money. The RepubliCONS are the ones with the money so he writes for them.
