Homeless Man Lights Candles for Victims of Orlando Massacre (Video)

A homeless man, who said he preferred not to be identified, took time this morning to relight all the candles at a memorial for victims of the Orlando shooting.

The man, carrying a sleeping mat and several bags, knelt in front of rainbow flags and bouquets of flowers and used a candle to pass its flame on to the others, in the video taken by ABC News today.

In 2000 i worked at a venture capital company in Boston making 50k a year. There was this homeless man that would sometimes sit by one of the doorways to the building. I smoked at the time. And we'd always have conversations if he was out there when I was. When I had cash, I'd give him 20 bucks.

My other half used to yell at me for giving "so much money". But I dont give a damn. If I have it to give, I will. 20 bucks. It's worth it.

Anyway, I was out in Faneuil hall one day and I'd left my coat inside. I'd underestimated how cold it had gotten during the day. When out of the blue the homeless man I'd chatted with outside the door came up to me with a small brown leather members only jacket in hand.

He insisted I take it. Wouldn't take no for an answer. He said he couldn't stand to see me shiver. I have the jacket to this day.
