Democracy Now! (June 16): An Expose of Donald Trump's Business Practices
Today's Democracy Now! features three segments exploring the business practices of presidential candidate Donald Trump.
In the first segment, Amy Goodman speaks with Russ Buettner and Charles Bagli who wrote articles for The New York Times about Trump's practice putting putting only a relatively small amount to money down to build casinos in Atlantic City, load the casinos up with debt and unload them for a huge profit after declaring bankruptcy. Next, Ms. Goodman interviews Steve Reilly, an investigative reporter who has been looking into complaints about Mr. Trump's failure to pay his bills. Finally, Ms. Goodman talks with David Cay Johnson about how Mr. Trumps pays, or doesn't pay, his taxes.
