But it is late night so the standards are a little more relaxed I suppose.

It wasn't that long ago that a 20 year old shot and killed 20 elementary school children. If Democrats and Republicans were not moved by such a horrific event, why would anyone expect Orlando to move them?

Republicans consistently fight brass-knuckled, biting, scratching, kicking and screaming for the sake of guns while Democrats consistently enter the ring holding a peace treaty in one hand and resignation in the other.

The recent, so-called filibuster was as laughable as Colbert's segment. I expect Republicans and the NRA to keep doing was has consistently worked for them, but Democrats must either learn to fight or tap out and get the hell out of the way.

...and don't change the rules to eliminate the filibuster, it'll be proof positive that they're actually Republicans.

I know there are some blue dog dems who probably voted with the republicans and there was repub mark kirk who is running against Tammy Duckworth and voted for the bill. But, really there is a difference between the two parties and his little segment seems to be saying that voting is futile.

I didn't like it.
