I hesitated to post this one, then saw yours and felt more comfortable. I have to remind myself that DU is much better now and posts like these won't get angry comments about "race baiting" and stereotyping like they did BC (before the convention).

I wanted to include previously that John Oliver was bang-on with the "pretty solidly run." Whenever I hear "negroes have come so far," my head explodes thinking and/or saying you're the one who've come so far. Thank goodness for comedians, first time I've ever totally laughed hearing someone admit to the good run.

3. i went barefoot in NYC. i even did the subway barefoot. but i am hardcore and it WAS spring.

AND i get compliments on my feet. i doth protest.

4. But what about broken glass and spit?

People spit on the sidewalks, it dries and you don't know you're stepping in it, you bring it home and now its on your living room floor. Your dog lays down on the floor and it gets in the dog's fur, the dog licks itself and all the horrible diseases the spitter has is now mingled with dog spit and you kiss your dog on the mouth.

That's what I think about when I think barefoot.
