We would climb under our desks and cover our heads. Given where i grew up, which was about half way (about 50 miles either way) between Ft. Campbell (101st Airborne) and Ft. Know, it probably wouldn't have done much good. Those really were some scary times.

I was in a scary one room school house. I often think of our lone teacher there, she must have felt isolated.
