1. Nice video.

My only beef is it neglects to mention, clearly, the republicans accepting those racist Dixiecrats with open arms in to the republican party. Like their leader storm Thurmond - outright segregationist. It doesn't mention the "southern strategy" used by repigs.

I was going to post it for my freeper sister in law who regularly posts that bullshit "Democrats are responsible for Jim Crow and lynching"

He knew damned full well that passing all the civil rights legislation would drive the Boll Weevil Democrats to the party they generally voted with, the Republicans. With the bigots gone, the party was free to run a truly exemplary black man. Since he was truly exemplary, he won two terms.

The bigots, of course, are going to stay gone.
