and survive the initial blast. The only other choices are slow death from radiation or living in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max world.

dig a bunker, keep iodine capsules on hand, stockpile food, and keep
some liquor and pain meds on hand.

In the event of the worst, you may still have a few days or weeks to
exercise some control over your demise.

I didn't realize that Mitch McConnell made a PSA video back in the day. In all seriousness though, I will be pleasantly surprised if after four years, there has not been a nuclear war.
