Is a very nutritious and beneficial food, and particularly therapeutic for type 2 diabetes, due to the specialized carbohydrates, the mucopolysaccharides, that they contain. However, type 2 diabetes is an affliction of excess and affluence that they don't have to worry about - and there are many other vital nutrients that the cactus cannot provide.
