25. Paul Ryan wants to hear from US re: ACA - details here

Jan 2017

This from a friend making the email rounds:

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan's office is conducting a phone poll, hoping to hear overwhelming opposition to the Affordable Care Act. Here's how you can participate:

Call (202) 225-0600.... (be patient until the recording starts) Press 2 to weigh in on the issue. You'll hear a recording about the bill to repeal it, then Press 1 to support continuing the ACA. It takes less than 2 minutes!
Copy, paste, pass it on!!

The lines are jammed (this written Sunday noon). Let's keep calling and the keep the lines jammed. And follow it up with emails and letters.

I went to Melania's White House page and it doesn't "plug" her jewelry line it says only "Melania is also a successful entrepreneur. In April 2010, Melania Trump launched her own jewelry collection."

It doesn't mention QVC. It's just stating the above as part of a resume.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Early on Friday, the website listed the brand names of Trump’s jewelry lines sold on QVC. But the website was updated after the publication of this story to remove any mention of QVC.

Once we understood that without might, there can be no right, we can put our finger on what is wrong with Peikoff’s claim that America “surrendered” its right to the oil in the Middle East. In practical terms, no such right existed. Our claim to that oil was founded on one thing and one thing alone: force. We could have bawled about our “right” to those oil fields as much as we pleased. Until we were willing to back up our rhetoric with force, it would remain completely inefficacious—mere words where deeds were called for.

I'm sure the top of his agenda will be to talk cheeto into doing his dirty work for him by going into Iran.

He'll probably say something like: "You know Don, old buddy, old boy, we just intercepted some Iranian chatter about small hands. We're unclear as to who they were referring to but if I were you . . ."

us with so much crap the news can't keep up. IMHO, here's were we need a very media savvy DNC chair who can get every Dem who goes on TV to mention one thing everywhere. And, not the big stuff maybe - the little shit he slips in there.

The First Family has gone from one of class and grace - Tiffany and Chanel style without the price tag - and a strong appreciation of America and the average Amcerican...to astonishingly crass billionaires who shill crap on the Home Shopping Channel while living in a penthouse that looks like a K-Tel version of Versailles that was vomited up by a brothel.

I wish I had a less hackneyed adjective than "surreal" for the times in which we live.

wanted this stuff. For whatever reason, they want him to cut social programs, ignore climate change, undermine O-care, and contemplate war. A real betrayal of his voters would be backtracking on his promises to "lock her up", building the wall, and the Muslim ban. Nevertheless, it will be funny to watch as they start suffering for the next few years along with the rest of us, and they won't be able to blame it on Obama or any Democrats.

don't bite off more than you can chew.

He has an entire team dedicated to betraying his voters a hundred times every day for as long as his administration lasts.

There is no way you can possibly monitor, compile, artistically assemble, and type out all those actions, and keep up with the flow of betrayal.

The next time a very very bad repub candidate including all the repubs he/she will bring along is running for president, let's hope the lesson of 2016 isn't lost. You don't vote third party, write in, or not at all when the outcome will be so bad (like now). I voted for HRC because I knew that she and the Dems would move the progressive goals along. We could have had the Supreme Court for decades. I pointed this out often, but some folks thought a protest vote would send a message. The only message I got from them is that we want to feel good about our vote even if it totally screws the whole country. So now we have to fight the fight when we could have been moving forward.
