It's gotten that bad that people I barely know are sharing their outrage with me. 
I'll take any opportunity, however brief, to distract myself from the dire news that seems to become more alarming by the day... 
And I meant what I said, people are upset enough that they feel a pressing need to talk about it. I have like minded friends, but people I barely know are suddenly expressing themselves. A few weeks back, I happened to sit next to a woman I'd never met before at a meeting. She had no way of knowing me or my politics, but afterwards she had to tell me how she felt about Trump and she got no argument from me...
