This is a Crisis
From Michael Moore:
michaelfmoore The Democratic Party needs to declare a National Emergency. For the first time in our history, the President of the United States and his staff are under investigation for espionage. This announcement, by the head of the Trump-friendly FBI, is a shock to our democracy. The Democratic leadership in the House and Senate needs to bring a halt to all business being done in the name of this potential felony suspect, Donald J. Trump. No bill he supports, no Supreme Court nominee he has named, can be decided while he is under a criminal investigation. His presidency has no legitimacy until the FBI - and an independent investigative committee -- discovers the truth. Fellow citizens, demand the Democrats cease all business. "The American people have a right to know if their President is a crook." -- Richard Nixon

(41,831 posts)This bounces off them like water from a duck. What's needed is some steel handcuffs and people perp-walked off to Jail, (after a fair Trial of course) but..OUR government is so corrupt right now NOTHING will happen, and that's the real shame here. Republicans think they are ABOVE THE LAW.. and someone should act, but I fear they won't.

I will tell you this, Russia: If youre listening, I hope youre able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.
Trumps comments set off an immediate uproar from the Clinton campaign, which blasted the remarks as a threat to national security.
This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent, Hillary for America policy adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement. "Thats not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue."Donald Trump invited Russia to hack Hillary Clinton's emails on Wednesday, asking one of Americas longstanding geopolitical adversaries to find the 30,000 emails that are missing from the personal server she used during her time as secretary of state."
