for 8 years! How exciting is that?

I love all the hype about this.

Republicans are sending healthcare back to the patients. That's great! I feel cheated though because I already had my appendix out and was hoping to perform the surgery myself. Keep that swiss-army knife handy!

Now Trump has his own cock holster. Kevin McCarthy.

Get their tax cut. In fact, they love it. By the time it hits a few of the unwealthy ones personally, it will be too late.

When does the bill go to the Senate for a vote? On DU Senator Mancin stated the bill will not pass in the senate.

But rather they are crafting their own version of healthcare cuts.

And they'll vote on that. There's still time to have an impact on the bill.

Call Your Senators! They count the calls! Be firm but reasonably controlled with your message so they don't have cause to not count your call because you just cussed them out ~

All that's needed to fix our healthcare system is cost controls. The market is charging what the market will bear. That's how the free market works. Put a limit on how much they can charge and they'll bring overhead down.

... even in a "short-lived" majority, you can obviously ram your agenda through. A "short-lived" majority is still two years long, and the Republicans House got their crap through in less than 4 months.

If you recall, the world was on fiscal fire when Obama became President and the Dems took the reins.

Obama began to formally create his presidential footprint during his first 100 days.[1] Obama quickly began attempting to foster support for his economic stimulus package, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.[2] The bill passed in the House on January 28, 2009, by a 244–188 vote,[3] and it passed in the Senate on February 10 by a 61–37 margin.[4][5]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_100_days_of_Barack_Obama%27s_presidency

That was kind of a big deal, and I would think rather time consuming...except that's not all they were doing in the first 100 and all through that sliver of time we held the majority in both houses...Dems were teeing up the ACA - an entire new system for accessing, funding and managing our healthcare. ACA was incredibly complex and used a lot of work hours.

And Dems while in majority still managed to get signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and an expansion on S-CHIP (state based healthcare for kids). At that same time, Obama lifted the ban on stem cell research, and started to close Guantanamo. All while reducing troops in war zones. All while vocally and demonstrably supporting human rights here and around the globe.

Trump and the Rs aren't writing thoughful, SCORED policy....they brag about how small their bills are. They aren't nose-to-the-grindstone, back at their desk crafting legislation to make the lives of everyday Americans better. They're having keggers in the Rose Garden celebrating a quickie bill with no hard numbers to support its claims.

I wouldn't dis Dems for not ramming through enough when we had the majority. Some really good work was done while we were in the majority.

and steamroller us. (They cry out that we weren't bipartisan, but it is just so they can get away with sneaky tricks.) Eventually, we get enough and rise up again to our full might.

We should never trust them. Maybe, work with them, if they are willing, but don't trust. They stab us in the back eveytime.
