As a matter of fact, a character in The Long Walk, the Colonel could be Trump if Trump was smarter.

I read the Wikipedia synopsis (such as it is), and got the idea that The Long Walk is a good metaphor for the indenture many right-wingers would like to throw most people into. In that, it's a little like The Mangler - King's ode to inhuman executives.

The Long Walk certainly seems like a good metaphor for the current health insurance debate, in that if Trump and his misanthropes get their way, any decline is an person's health would be tantamount to death.

Thanks again, Dustlawyer. Have a great weekend!

They will be one of the first to get into their FEMA camps and imagine their shock.

One sometimes reads about these sociopathic, right-wing billionaires who build elaborate bunkers or buy islands because "everything's going to collapse."

The way they (in general) lord over all of us, what with their corruption and utter mismanagement, did it ever occur to them that they're creating a self-fulfilling prophecy?

God help us all.

He is not looking angry, he is not looking determined... he just looks stark raving mad.

A sane man cannot make a face like Trump's
Look at so many of his pictures... He is fucking nuts

WTF kind of expression is that?

The Joint Chiefs can stop him from launching. They have the ultimate call to launch. He can order it, but they can stop it. Will they be strong enough to disobey a madman, I hope and pray the will. I'd rather have the military lock him and Pence out that those maniacs destroying the planet.
