Her hypocrisy and lack of compassion was jaw-dropping. He pretty much worships her. So it's not hard to see why he doesn't understand either the cruelty or hypocrisy of his own actions. He thinks those things are normal.

and they're talking about what they're going to do after they graduate. One guy says he's going to law school; another one says he's going home to take over the family business; another says he's taking a year off to travel. Then they ask Ryan what he plans to do, and he says, "I'm going into politics so I can fulfill my dream of eliminating Medicaid. Maybe even Social Security someday. I'm really excited about this."

It gets real quiet. First guy says, "Seriously, dude? My uncle gets that because he's disabled and can't work. That's cold. S'cuse me, I'm gonna go for another beer." Second guy says, "Me, too." They walk away. Third guy says, "That's fucked up. I'm thinking of joining the Peace Corps and you're gonna screw poor sick people?" Ryan says, "But you gotta read Atlas Shrugged! It's all there! We gotta get the useless eaters off the public dole! I'm serious! It's my life's goal." Third guy rolls his eyes and says, "Whatever. I need more beer," and leaves. Ryan is left sitting by himself, as usual.

"Oh, you've got lung cancer?" Paul said eagerly, reaching down for his zipper. "And you smoked, so it's pre-existing? Tell me more!"

who vote for Ryan have a lot to answer for, because they elected and keep re-electing this sociopath. His actions are blood on their hands.

Ryan and his medicaid fantasy and Grover Norquist with his no tax pledge that he came up with as a 12-year-old are two that come immediately to mind.

The dangerous party is some of them work and work and work to make their teenage fantasies come true.
