(218 posts)Today was very important.
Resist. Write to your senators, your congress people, your governor...everyone, SCREAM IT-- "WHAT DID THE PRESIDENT KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT?"
Trump did NOT want this hearing. He doesn't want to hear about Russia.
With good reason.

(14,955 posts)I don't watch much video - don't know about the current norms.
Back in my days of owning a T.V. and watching some "news analysis" shows, I'd see a reasoned discussion of the pros and cons. This whole bit of shouting at the camera seems to be desperation. I think a quiet analysis and a nice closing "Good Night" is a lot more effective.
Since I'm not in the demographic for people that actually pay to watch stuff like sports, cooking shows, paid Disney travelogues, porn, or vacuous blonds crossing their legs while pretending to have considered the pros/cons; nobody will listen to me. (And, BTW, I meant those vacuous males - never the others!)

(8,944 posts)...but then, when the news (Yates testimony today) baldly exposes the fact that the President is either a blithering idiot or a criminal who exposed our country's security to its most powerful enemy, he gets mad.
...and you should too.

(31,320 posts)I am past holding my breath to see something done about it. The Republicans hold the cards in regards to impreachment, and the Republican
senator showed today they were more concerned about being found out than in understanding the risk to the country of what was being done.
The Republicans are all complicit. They're all in violation of their oaths to uphold the Constitution.
What are we going to do? This can't wait for an election in 2018. It can't wait.
