Even in a Liberty U crowd, I can't help thinking this exposure to The Real DT must have shocked a number of them. This is their commencement, though, and they all deserved a better, an honorable speaker.

I remember when they regretted losing W. Think of all the wannabe comedians who chickened out went to law school instead. If only they could have known then what was coming.

(204,695 posts)And I remember that, too. Bill Maher said he was actually hoping Bush* would win - but purely for selfish reasons, because it made his job so easy. But Bush* had nothing on Trump! Between Colbert, Seth Myers and Trevor Noah, their monologues come straight from the news every single night!

I ran into a new term to me in The New Yorker: "pathological inattention." I don't know if that could be the same as a pathologically short attention span, sounds as if it means something related but different; but if so he likely suffers from both.
Husband just got up. I'm going to show him your clip after he gets his coffee.

(204,695 posts)He seems to react to everything like a campaign rally - because that's what he's used to and that's what he likes. It's all about some kind of adulation with him - and, of course, the money. But he's addicted to the adulation so he just can't help himself. And I can't help but wonder if he forgets where he is...
And check out the other Colbert Show clip I posted. It's "The Real (pro-Trump) News." I think those are hysterical!
