This is stochastic terrorism coming right from the top. The authoritarian right is using militaristic language to describe the media and building a false narrative of the media's "lies" (fake news). Meanwhile actual Fake News outlets (Breitbart, InfoWars) use increasingly violent and inciting language to describe the media to the unhinged and well armed white nationalist base. Violent interactions between the racists, white nationalists, and neo-nazis and the media are inevitable at this point. It's coming right from the top, and Trump's unfiltered twitter diarrhea screaming "FAKE NEWS!!!" about CNN, NBC, etc... is going to get people hurt and killed.

In fact, it already has. It is too late.
