Here (in the USA) this would mean nothing less than EVERY candidate for office getting limited public funding. There can be no "special interest" (read that, "corporate&quot monies either directly or indirectly to the campaigns - with disqualification and/or jail time for violators of the rules. No money BEFORE the elections and no rewards AFTER the elections. Period.

...and failed.

Hell, even Corbyn didn't win with this message. In Great Britain.

So I'm not convinced it will win for us.

And a major reason why, I'm convinced, is that when they go through some racist's mental filter, it comes out "We want to tax YOU to give money to undeserving black people."

But the Democratic party has not had a message this strong and well articulated in my lifetime. Probably not since Truman.

And, btw, Corbyn kicked May''s ass.

Maybe you should pay more attention to them.

Corbyn did not kick May's ass.

He LOST.

And May is simply going to form a government with the DUP.

I'll let you go research who gained more seats and who lost more seats.

and the reason May now has to go begging other parties to form a government when she didn't have to before is because Corbyn kicked her tush.

And part of the reason for that was smart, humane messaging like this.

No matter what you call it. And they would have won more with the kind of messaging in this ad.

We had nearly exactly this type of messaging.

We lost.

So I remain unconvinced that there is some sort of panacea that will cause voters to wake up. The only thing that ever seems to make them want to look past the fact that Democrats are champions of minorities and women is seeing Republicans in power.

I'd be more convinced if you had an actually winning example to tout. Not a "exceeded expectations". Winning.

But if I were a voter in America, (hey, I am!) I would respond very enthusiastically to this.

Your mileage, of course, may vary.

This message is the ur-frame, the cry of dignity from the beleaguered masses, the pain sung by the face being smashed by the boot, eternally.

Learn to deliver (and deliver on) this message, Democrats, and the world is yours.
