While it is unclear whether Velazquez knew exactly what he was carrying, the officers had reason to be suspicious. In March, the agency issued a press release after a Juarez woman was caught attempting to smuggle 26 pounds of liquid methamphetamine through the border in bottles in El Paso.

Two minutes later, the officers appear to encourage Velazquez to drink more. He took two more swigs.

In total, Velazquez swallowed four sips of a solution tests would later reveal to be more than a hundred times stronger than the typical dose of methamphetamine. Velazquez lost consciousness in the ambulance on the way to the Sharp Medical Center in nearby Chula Vista, where doctors tried and failed to resuscitate him. Velazquez was pronounced dead, at age 16, less than a half hour after his arrival.

Both officers, who declined through their attorneys to be interviewed by ABC News, denied asking Velazquez to drink from the bottle, and the official report called the incident an “accident.” Officer Perallon claimed Velazquez “volunteered” to take a drink.

In response to the broader ABC News investigation, which revealed a history of cases in which the agency appeared to ignore accusations of mistreatment and abuse, the agency issued a statement, saying, “CBP takes all allegations of mistreatment seriously, and does not tolerate actions that are not consistent with our core values of vigilance, service to country and integrity.”

3. That video haunts me.

That boy reminds me of the boys on my son's soccer team. I cannot comprehend the evil it must take to do that to a child. They had test kits to confirm that liquid was meth. They did not need to do this at all. I cannot imagine why they would kill this beautiful boy in such a horrific way. And they did it while exchanging smiles, as the boy swallowed the deadly poison on their instructions. His last conscious moments, screaming in agony in a border patrol office, must have been horrific.

5. At the very beginning of the video it is stated as fact that he is a smuggler.

Then another man states he believes he was recruited as a mule and paid a $100.00 or $200.00.

Why are they making these assumptions ???

He could have been forced by the Mexican Cartel.

They could have threatened his life or the lives of his family.

The 2 border patrol officers knew exactly what they were doing.

They were smiling every time he took a sip.

They should be charged with murder, but they won't.

Even if he knew what he was carrying and no one threatened or forced him

the officers should still be charged with murder.

I am so sick of EVIL people.
