He says he will stay a republican but he should join most of the Eisenhowers and Rockefellers and move to the democrats.

4. The centrist republicans are making a move on 2020 because they know Trump is horrible.

They didn't want him in the first place, now they worry he's taking down the whole party and they need to stand apart. This is a great moment for that, an issue they can use to carry the day against him.
