Most Californians are concerned about what TRUMP will do to our country than what Kim Jong Un will do.

And some who are local tend to see not so far.

Los Angeles was destroyed by the Northridge Quake. Not.

Houston's destroyed by the floods. Allison, that is, in 2001. Only to be utterly laid waste again, never to be rebuilt, during the 2015 floods. Only to be flooded and about to be razed again in 2017.

People I know call me a pessimist. There are those, whoever, who make me sounds like a pollyanna.

I'm more worried about this weekend's record breaking temps.

Nobody of ordinary means here in coastal California has air conditioning.

My house was a fucking 92 degrees and there wasn't anything I could do about it.

My dogs dug holes in the wet dirt of our backyard, in the shade, and waited it out.

I was about ready to join them.
