TYT Breaks Down the Racist Rant at Canadian Sikh Politician Jagmeet Singh

The video of the racist girl conflating Sikh candidate Jagmeet Singh with "the Muslim Brotherhood" and "Sharia Law" at one of his town halls has been making the rounds. Here Cenk breaks down how well the candidate for the leadership of Canada's New Democratic Party handled the somewhat tense situation.

In this video (clearly filmed later, after some coaching) Jennifer tries to 'clarify' her crackpot rant, and reverse engineer some sanity into it.

She claims she knew the difference between Muslims and Sikhs when she confronted him. But, although you can't hear all of what she was shouting, one of the things you can clearly hear her say is "We know you're about the Muslim Brotherhood." Why would a SIKH be "about" the Muslim Brotherhood? So, no, I don't think she had a clue about the difference until somebody explained it to her.

She then claimed that Singh's opposition to Quebec's unsuccessful attempt to ban government employees from wearing niqabs (Muslim scarf that covers the face) was "Sharia law." (No, it's not.) In fact, in Afghanistan the Taliban used to FORCE women to wear Burkas. THAT'S an example of Sharia law. Stopping the government from discriminating against certain forms of religious dress is the opposite of that. It's a perfect example of secular, liberal, democratic law.

She also claimed Singh's support for the Canadian parliament's MOTION M-103 (a voluntary motion CONDEMNING ISLAMOPHOBIA) is "Sharia law." (No, it's not.)

She's clearly a slightly unbalanced person who has been VICTIMIZED by too much right wing propaganda.

And in spite of all the Muslim Brotherhood Sharia law going on, why were there lots of brown Sikh women at this meeting wearing their deeply oppressive jeans and flannels instead of whatever this nut thinks Canadians would be forced to wear once Sharia is implemented nationwide? It's all just a trick to appear more Canadian because they're stealthy like that.
