I've been married 26 years. I honestly cannot remember the last time I shook my husband's hand, if ever. Maybe when we first met, but I don't think so. We kiss and hug a lot and HOLD hands. But not shake hands. I shake hands with people in my business, or when formally introduced to someone. Outside of that, it is just weird and shows utter lack of personal intimacy.

For those that say he was trying to reach over to kiss her as she was walking away, I don't think so. To me, it looks like he leaned over to whisper to her something like "OK, you can go sit over there now." Like, "ok, ok, you've done your part, now scram!"

17. After her Alzheimer's diagnosis, sometimes my mom recognized people, sometimes she didn't.

She always knew who SHE was, but even family members were seen as strangers, and she puzzled over things like seeing her car, in the driveway, (we had taken the keys) and wondering who was parking there. At first it was spotty, but then it became more and more frequent.
