"You think you have it tough now, you little pissant?"

Does he think that rich white males are not protected enough?
This rich spoiled brat pity party is pathetic.

(8,632 posts)I've always thought that would be the reaction of Teavangelicals when global temperatures soar over 3 degrees centigrade, the polar icecaps completely melt, the Amazon rain forest completely burns and we start to run out of food - this will be their reaction to address their previous denial.
Our reaction will be the same as Hunter S. Thompson, "God didn't do that, you did!"

(92 posts)I have to go back and read Thompson to keep me sane during times like these.

(5,328 posts)Atheists don't believe gods exist, but some people ask the ignorant question, "why do you atheists hate God?"
There actually are people who "hate God", but they're not atheists. Two fictional examples are Martin Riggs in Lethal Weapon and Riddick in Pitch Black. Apparently we now have O'Reilly as a prominent real-life example.

Overheard Conversation:
Bill: God, I'm mad at you. I suppose you hate me?
God: If I gave you any thought, I probably would.

(11,564 posts)...but after digesting it, you realize it wasn't that surprising after all?
My wife used to do a lot of fund-raising events for Boys And Girls Club, and was often responsible for meeting all of the the needs of celebrities who were lending their time and name to the event. Met dozens and dozens of them, more than 100, depending on how you define "celebrity." A few, she counts as friends, in as much as celebrities make real friends with "civilians."
A surprisednot surprised moment for her was dealing with Bill'O The Clown. He was every bit the same asshole in person as he appears to be on TV. In some ways worse, IMO, because instead of being nasty to people in the public eye, as he was on his show, he was nasty to people that he felt "didn't matter."
In case you're wondering, Loni Anderson, Jamie Farr, Angela Bassett and Denzel were among her favourites.

(52,317 posts)Nobody suffers like a sexual predator who gets to keep his job.
Certainly not his victims, who he clearly feels so sorry for he's respectfully refusing to say anything to or about, not even to apologize.
Oh, did he have to pay for all his settlements himself or did the network cover all that for him?
Or did they effectively cover it through a bigger salary?

(5,524 posts)He wishes God would protect him more? Hes the one that sexually harassed women!
You can tell Bill O cant fathom why he is in trouble. Hes so pompous that he really believes sexually harassing women was blessing them with a gift of his presence. After all, who wouldnt fall to their knees and kiss his feet when given the chance?
Its amazing someone can be this much of a narcissist. Its impossible to tell if he is a liar or if he truly believes his own bs.

(45,528 posts)So he wants protection from who or what? Maybe God should provide some way for him to control his urges. Otherwise, he wants to keep doing bad things and have more white male privilege to get away with it.

(91 posts)O'reilly et al are just enjoying the advantages of being an alpha male. He formed a coalition of other males to grab the top spot in his environment and simply collected his reward of females in which to plant his sperm.
WAKE UP. We are not rational beings. We continue to behave like chimpanzees.
Until we realize this, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Look up epigenetics.
Change will come ONLY when we decide to quit operating on instinct and start dealing with reality.

(4,292 posts)I, too, am mad at God...
...for allowing that one particular sperm to make its way to the ovum. Seriously, out of how many million little swimmers, the one that resulted in this oxygen-waster won out?!?
...for letting him survive gestation, childbirth, childhood, adolescence (and that's a stretch), adulthood, and while we're at it -- what's his excuse for avoiding the draft and serving in Vietnam?
...for killing so many good people through disease, famine, war, pestilence, traffic accidents, and especially gunplay. Yet you allow this clown to continue walking the Earth. Why?
Enough with working in mysterious ways! Please rid us of him, Drumpf, and all the other demons roaming this planet.
Or move on.
With any luck (Karma), we will.
