I admire Manstein, Guderian and Rommel. But I certainly wouldn't point to any of them as a model leader of a free society. None of them were dyed-in-the-wool Nazis, but they went along with things and maybe made an occasional act of resistance.

Its pretty scary that the Trumpsters are playing to the confederate idiots. Those with a pickup, no education, a resentment toward people of color. And worst to all have more that their fair share of guns.

...Air Force pilots - a get-together started by a fellow aviator my husband met back in 1970 in Viet Nam.

One of the guys there, who my husband also met in Viet Nam, is a life long NRA member. I have known him since the mid-1980s when he and m husband were again stationed together. He told my husband that he has a gun in every room of his house. My husband asked him, "Even in the bathrooms?" The answer was, "Yes." Creepy.

More than their fair share of guns, indeed.
