I thought it was a bit odd when Joe Kennedy spoke Spanish. But I bet a lot of other liberals watched it and did not think it was odd at all. They probably thought it was very nice.
Just like many well intentioned liberals think I was born somewhere else. 
To be fair, many dreamers are probably bilingual but it does undermine our argument.
