That's what I've been emphasizing a lot in my posts recently. Trying to shelter an ignorant, naive and easily misled voting public from a wide or even unforeseen variety of challenges and threats that may arise is such a complex task that it is pretty nigh futile. And the multifarious, complex nature of the threats and challenges we face in our modern high tech age are multiplied pretty much ad infinitum - who could have seen the Russian trolls and bots coming? But with education, however, the voting public is able to think logically, rationally, critically and independently, and will be able to see through the half truths, lies, and specious arguments that a demagogue and his minions and supporters may throw their way, from whatever quarter they may come from.
