Friedmann, big time globalism sycophant who's made his fortune selling out workers in America's factories.

He's made a lot of money selling Americans on thinking it was a good thing to ship our jobs away, to destroy a huge amount of our tax base, to destroy good work for many high-school graduates, not to mention lowering wages for everyone, and helping boost the incomes of the morbidly wealthy.

He idolized GW Bush, and was a proponent of the Iraq invasion.

I am with you, I don't like him, I don't trust him.

Thomas Friedman to be saying stuff like this, someone who's not known as being 100% in the bag for 'Liberals' but rather is seen by many as a moderate and reasonable voice.

Fact is, Krugman saying this would have much less gravitas (though I personally of course much prefer Krugman) than Friedman doing the same.

Though I've often disagreed w/the guy's takes, I'm not going to bash a man when he's trying to do the right thing, in this case, raise an important alarm. I welcome him to the fold on this matter.

There is absolutely no water in "the glass" that Friedman is talking about. And it scares me that we have a threat to our democracy in the White House.

That MSNBC is what I call "minimum liberal. They cover gays, guns, and abortion, and maybe a touch of immigration. Even the support of these things have been half-hearted in the last decade.

People who support labor, or keeping jobs here, or defects with the Democratic Party are kept off this network. The network serves as the leftmost goalpost the rich corporate concern wants Americans to hear on television.

MSNBC and CNN coverage is the reason so many are seeking out sources on YouTube and other places. Their continued lack of support for the many liberal kitchen table issues, like higher wages, true health care, an education for all with student loan forgiveness, a huge infrastructure program, getting us out of wars, and maybe to start the first talks of a BMI program for all Americans is why so many are beginning to understand these networks as "Minimum Liberal."
