... are signs of flawed studies. The Bell Curve being one of the greatest examples of how bias can either knowingly or unknowingly creep into a study.

Small sample sizes.....correlation not necessarily being causation...and so forth. Lastly, realizing what you don't know should be top of the list. Viewing it as an opportunity and not a weakness is a sign of intelligence and personal honesty.
