People who voted for Trump didn’t do it because they like him, they did it to toss a malotov cocktail into a system that is broken. At some level I think they are looking on with satisfaction at the women’s march, the Science March and the resistance activism that Trump has aroused.
Our country has reached a something-has-to-give moment, and perhaps we should look at this as part of a process.
