Two robots debate the future of humanity

Disclaimer: I don't think these 'bots were acting in a completely autonomous mode in this presentation; although Sophia may have an autonomous mode.

A couple of decades ago, I was attending conferences put on by the Foresight Institute. Foresight was established to discuss issues surrounding the introduction of molecular nanotechnology. The discussions ranged beyond nanotechnology into such things as artificial intelligence and a coming Technological Singularity. (I am a bit skeptical about the idea of a singularity, at least in a literal sense.)

The discussion of artificial intelligence covered the issue of how to create a friendly AI, one that would work for us rather than trying to rule us or destroy us.

Of course, 'friendly AI' was defined as more than making a robot look like Jennifer Lawrence.

Dr. Ben Goertzel, the presenter in this video, is even weirder than some of the people at the Foresight conference.
