with Trump who still thinks Rudy has the skills he once had, many decades ago. But what Trump got instead was a has-been lawyer who saw a chance to get back in the spotlight and garner a few brownie points with Trump without, however doing the least degree of work to try and familiarize himself with either the law or the facts of the case before shooting off his mouth on national TV. This time he got caught and it was so blatant that even Trump recognized it. Rudy's a one-trick pony and the audience is now tired of the same old trick.
