I'm sure he needs it, but he's hardly the feeble little old man the headlines are trying to imply.

I can't help but think that he's going to have the mother of all flare-ups if he's using the cane to help with a chronic pain condition (such as disabling arthritis).
If that's the case, I really admire him because it's really hard to volunteer for extra pain, so to speak.
