The Two-Level Wrecking Of America And The Global Threat -- Chomsky

The wrecking crew are the GOP. Their job is to ystematically dismantle government that benefits Americans so that global corporatists can take over this landbase area of the North American continent.

This generation has to decide whether organized human existence is going to continue.

What threatens Humanity is climate change and nuclear war.

1. We'll really know that Trump was just a distraction if the Mueller investigation is all for naught.

The dismantling of our government by special interests will have taken place while we were distracted by Trump's daily antics.

2. It can be a distraction and still every single indictment sticks. The Mueller team won't fail.

It will get rid of the criminals, and the dismantled government will get rebuilt.

New ways will still be found -- among them will be the Kochs' buying of four remaining state houses' votes for a constitutional convention.

3. You're more optimistic than I am. The Reagan Administration had more individuals indicted and

convicted than any other Presidency in history and yet George Sr. was elected President in 1988. Chomsky says climate change is one the two biggest crises facing humans. It's a time bomb that's ticking and Trump and the Republicans are distracting us from the problem. I'm not sure we have time let alone the will to address it.

4. The learning curve of the country is shorter now. We're down, but we're not out. Like Harari says,

this isn't supposed to be easy, but we can still retain our Constitution, our government and yet become a country whose citizens retain multiple loyalties -- both to our country's values and to the world's improvement -- without past differences across continents being points of conflict.

Trump didn't walk that DMZ zone down to meet his brother leader in the South, Kim Jong Un did. That's what Harari's talking about.

Joint global projects will employ millions, and thus improve the lives of people migrating from unfree zones.

As Hannah Arendt says in her essays on Freedom: New beginnings + committed maintenance of what gets started make for freedom. You don't know that you've had a global revolution until you look back on what's already happened.

We don't have to die because elites don't care. We can make sure they only go so far. That's what Mueller's doing.

It's hard to know how this will go, but we have to stay open, aware and responsive to what helps everybody.

open your eyes wide because trump has already mentioned about changing the constitution, that is exactly how Hugo Chavez began his destruction of Venezuela, that is one of the things dictators do, he already has the votes on the supreme court, so watch out, I feel its coming...I hope I am very wrong.

... in the case of global warming it's almost indescribable."
I truly shudder, not just because of Trump but because the best we can do is slow the oligarchy at midterm time, but considering Pence's determination to start holy war leaves us all as US citizens with no good way out of this. Unless serious turnaround, reinstatement of humanitarian, democratic socialist policymaking rebounds significantly, I'll be around for the 2020 elections, but shortly thereafter it's retirement time for Lambchopp.
And I'm brushing up on my Portuguese just in case the oily garchy's hate media cheats/brainwashes/mesmerizes/installs another tougher, meaner bescroogier set of Republicans into office.
I threw things at the teevee during Ray gun, when airwaves were analog.
I thought surely by the end of his debacle surely the US wouldn't make the same mistake.
I'd seen the little points of light in the sky several times Bush Sr. spoke of in his "kindler, gentler" reign of war on the poor. They were the stars Eldon and I saw on a clear night I from the incognito cardboard box we had to occasionally sleep in as college students.
I thought surely by the end of his debacle surely the US wouldn't make the same mistake.
I continually laughed in appalled shock as GWB fumbled his way through with the whole world laughing beside us. The "Top ten conservative Idioti of the week" were great back then. But Fox New's effect on old folk's scared me, still,
I thought surely by the end of his debacle surely the US wouldn't make the same mistake.
I'm trying my best to ignore the most embarrassing, imprudent, unwise, ill-advised, ill-considered, half-baked, harebrained, foolhardy; absurd, senseless, pointless, nonsensical, inane, fatuous, ridiculous and childish regime that ever has seized control of the US.
Now I stand not so certain by the end of his debacle surely the US still won't make the same mistake.

6. I'm retired. I'll tell you that when there's no work to distract, the dread increases exponentially

I read, stay away from propaganda media, and take hope that other forces on Earth are now at work to mitigate what the majority of Americans dread.

Even our military knows what a shit show this civilian command is. Although it loves its money stream, brass will not play into some apocalyptic narrative of believers across continents. Pence will go down, too, don't worry.

I've got Spanish under my belt, and a place to go, too, but I'd rather stay and support those who can fight.

When I say keep the faith, I mean that as an atheist who believes in the force for good across the planet.

I lost my home and entire retirement fund in a pre-ACA medical catastrophe in 2009, have only retained the travel trailer I work travel jobs from and a small, remote piece of retirement property, no house, am scrimping and saving to make large monthly make-up retirement fund donations ever since. I could only potentially recover the value I lost under GWB, decades of savings, if I worked till I'm 80.
Not willing or able.
I may have to go where my SSRI stretches further in 3 years. I'm presently researching Brazilian expatriate communities.

You can apply for and get a second passport from the Dominican Republic as soon as you land there. Check it out.

I wish you the best. I can tell you from my recent travels that old age, indeed, is respected abroad so much more than it is here.
