I have a small degree of sympathy for those unaware (stupid) enough to think that fake 45 would ever protect anyone but DJT.

You plead the 5th in order to avoid putting yourself into jeopardy. Once you have been pardoned, you are no longer in jeopardy of incriminating yourself and cannot plead the 5th. You are there fore compelled to answer questions posed in court, to refuse places you in contempt.

That aside, Cohens claim that family and country come first are meaningless, he spent years working for Trump, doing things that make it laughable to suggest that he has ever had any commitment to the country
